Meet The Team

Phillip Bosson

Titled APA Sports and Exercise Physiotherapist

Bachelor of Physiotherapy - University of Newcastle, achieving Deans Merit Award

Masters of Sports and Exercise Physiotherapy -La Trobe University

Phil lives and breathes sport. From a young age he has had a passion for all types of sport and enjoyed studying science. He wanted to work as a Sports physiotherapist to combine these two interests. Phil also personally understands what it is like to be injured (he has had a few sports injuries in the past!) and wanted to help people recover from similar situations.

Phil has almost a decade of experience with the Newcastle Knights Rugby League club, including 5 seasons as Head Physiotherapist. As a result of this, he has been lucky enough to gain valuable experience in managing both acute and chronic sports injuries, rehabilitating athletes post-surgery and developing strength and running programs to return athletes to elite performance. Before his time with the Knights he worked at a number of local practices with a sports focus, gaining valuable experience in managing everyday body complaints.

Phil enjoys managing contact and game related injuries including ACL and MCL tears, hamstring and calf injuries, shoulder dislocations and ankle sprains.

His experience working as an on field sports trainer and in professional rugby league makes him one of the most experienced physiotherapists at managing these acute injuries.

He also loves the challenge of diagnosing and managing long term, niggling complaints that just won't go away!

Outside of work, you’ll find Phil spending some quality time with his young family, fitting in some training sessions around work and enjoying a swim at the beach whenever possible.
