The Portside Sports Physiotherapy team is expertly trained in the various disciplines and techniques of physiotherapy. With decades of elite sports physiotherapy experience, musculoskeletal, orthopaedic and neuro physio, this is the team to get you moving better.

  • Practice Principal

    Phil established Portside Sports Physiotherapy after working in professional sport with the Newcastle Knights for 10 years.

    He wanted to provide local athletes and sportspeople with the same high level injury prevention and management approach, expert physio treatments and access to elite physio technology.

    Phil always approaches his physiotherapy practice with a focus on what you can do, not what you can’t do, to get back to your best.

    Phil has a Masters degree in Sports and Exercise Physiotherapy and is a titled Sports and Exercise Physiotherapist with the Australian Physiotherapy Association.

  • Tori is an experienced physio currently working with the Newcastle Knights women's teams, supporting both the development and elite squads. She is excited to work with top-level athletes and assist in their rehabilitation processes. Tori is also looking forward to rejoining the NRLW squad in 2025.  

    Along with her professional Sports and Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy experience Tori has worked in the field of Neurological Rehabilitation.

    Tori has completed her level 1 and 2 dry needling courses and can integrate this technique into her practice.

    Tori’s special interests include: field sport athletes, female athletes, runners, CrossFit enthusiasts, and general gym-goers.

  • Jas, a proud Novocastrian, recently returned to Newcastle after 16 months in New Zealand working as a physio for Rugby and Cricket.

    Jas has a keen interest in contact sport injuries, load-based cricketing injuries, and post-operative rehabilitation for shoulder and knee injuries.

    Specialising in strength and conditioning-based rehabilitation, she’s passionate about using gym-based recovery to help patients achieve their goals.

  • Ashlee is an experienced physiotherapist who worked with NSW Health for over 14 years prior to joining the Portside Sports Physio Team to balance family life and work.

    She brings a wealth of experience in Orthopaedic and Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy, Hand therapy, Chronic pain management and Paediatric musculoskeletal physiotherapy.

    Ash has a deep understanding of the Biopsychosocial Model and considers not just the physical factors but the whole person throughout her physio assessment and treatment.
